Car
To reach the NASCAR Hall of Fame from High Country, start by getting on US-221 S from your current location. Follow US-221 S for approximately 30 miles until you reach I-40 E. Merge onto I-40 E and continue for about 75 miles. Take exit 133 toward I-77 S/US-21 S/US-74 E. Merge onto I-77 S and follow the signs for Charlotte. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 9C for I-277 N toward US-74 E. Stay on I-277 N for about 2 miles, then take exit 2B for E M.L.K. Jr Blvd. The NASCAR Hall of Fame will be on your right at 400 E M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28202. Note that parking is available nearby but may incur fees, typically around $10-$20 depending on the lot.

Public Transportation
From High Country, your best option is to drive to the nearest Amtrak station or regional bus terminal, as there are limited direct public transportation options. If you can drive to Boone, NC, take Bus 1 to Charlotte, which will drop you off at a central location. From there, you can catch the LYNX light rail at the Charlotte Transportation Center. Board the LYNX Blue Line toward I-485/South Blvd and get off at the 3rd stop, which is at the 7th St. Station. From the station, it's a short 10-minute walk to NASCAR Hall of Fame at 400 E M.L.K. Jr Blvd. Be aware that bus and train tickets cost approximately $20-$30, and the light rail fare is around $2.20.
