If you are driving, start from the main road in Nantahala National Forest, such as US-64. Head south toward Sapphire, NC. Turn onto Panthertown Road, which is marked for Panthertown Valley. Follow Panthertown Road for about 3 miles until you see a parking area on the right side for Panthertown Valley. Park your car here. Note that there is no parking fee required.

From the parking area, you will need to hike approximately 1.5 miles to reach Granny Burrell Falls. Begin on the Panthertown Valley trail. Follow the trail signs toward Granny Burrell Falls. The trail can be rocky and steep in places, so wear sturdy hiking shoes. As you hike, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the forest. The falls will be marked along the trail, so keep an eye out for signs.

If using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest town, which is Cashiers, NC. From there, you may need to arrange a local taxi or rideshare service to take you to the parking area on Panthertown Road.
