Start your journey at the Fredrikstad city center, specifically at Storgata, which is the main pedestrian street. Head east along Storgata until you reach the intersection with Rådhusgata. Turn left onto Rådhusgata and continue straight until you arrive at the Fredrikstad Church. From there, proceed to follow the signs leading to Borgebyen. Cross the bridge over the Glomma River, which will lead you to Borgebyen district. Once in Borgebyen, continue towards the end of the district, where you will find a trail leading uphill to the Katrineborg viewpoint. The hike is steep, but well-marked. In about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will reach the viewpoint, which offers a stunning panoramic view of Fredrikstad and the surrounding area.
