Walking
From the center of Gamlebyen, head northwest towards the Vesterelva river. Follow the riverbank path until you reach the bridge at the northern end of Gamlebyen. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight until you arrive at the intersection with Vestre Strandgate. Turn left onto Vestre Strandgate and walk until you see the sign for Isegran fort. Follow the path that leads you to the fort entrance.

Ferry
If you prefer a scenic route, you can take a ferry from the Gamlebyen ferry terminal. Check the local ferry schedule for departures towards Kråkerøy. Once you arrive at the Kråkerøy terminal, walk along the coastal path heading east for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Isegran fort. The ferry ride may have a small fee, typically around 50 NOK.

Bicycle
For those who wish to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Gamlebyen. Head towards the river and follow the same route as for walking, keeping to the bike paths along Vesterelva. This route is bike-friendly and will take you directly to Isegran fort. Ensure your bicycle rental is returned within the agreed time to avoid extra charges.
