Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Gamlebyen, head northwest towards the Vesterelva river. Follow the riverbank path until you reach the bridge at the northern end of Gamlebyen. Cross the bridge and continue walking straight until you arrive at the intersection with Vestre Strandgate. Turn left onto Vestre Strandgate and walk until you see the sign for Isegran fort. Follow the path that leads you to the fort entrance.

    If you prefer a scenic route, you can take a ferry from the Gamlebyen ferry terminal. Check the local ferry schedule for departures towards Kråkerøy. Once you arrive at the Kråkerøy terminal, walk along the coastal path heading east for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Isegran fort.
