    From the visitor center in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, head southwest on the main road (Refuge Road). Continue on Refuge Road for approximately 6 miles until you reach the intersection with State Highway 49. Turn left onto Highway 49 and drive for about 3 miles. You will see the signs for the Window of the Wichitas. Follow the signs to the parking area, which is located at the base of the window. Parking is free.
