To reach Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge by car, start from the nearest major city, Lawton, OK. Take US-62 west toward Indiahoma. After approximately 25 miles, you'll reach the junction with Refuge Headquarters Road. Turn left onto Refuge Headquarters Road and follow it for about 3 miles until you arrive at the park entrance at 32 Refuge Headquarters Road, Indiahoma, OK 73552. Parking is available at the refuge. Note that there is no entrance fee, but donations are appreciated.

While there is limited public transportation directly to Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge, you can take a Greyhound bus to Lawton, OK. From Lawton, you will need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, or rent a car to reach the refuge. The distance from Lawton to the refuge is approximately 25 miles, which takes about 30 minutes by car. Be sure to check the schedule of the Greyhound bus as service may vary.
