If you are driving from Muscat, take the Sultan Qaboos Highway (Route 1) towards the Al Batinah South Governorate. After approximately 90 km, take the exit towards Route 23, which leads you towards the town of Riwaygh. Continue on Route 23 for about 30 km until you reach Riwaygh. Once in Riwaygh, follow the local signs directing you towards Wadi Al Nakhr, which is located at coordinates 23.1509553, 57.2060037. The road leading to the wadi may be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Parking is available near the entrance to the wadi.

To reach Wadi Al Nakhr using public transportation, first, take a bus from Muscat to the nearest town, which is Riwaygh. Buses depart from the main bus station in Muscat and the journey takes approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive in Riwaygh, you can hire a local taxi or a shared taxi to take you to Wadi Al Nakhr. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes and should cost around 5 OMR. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting the journey.
