If you are traveling by car, head towards Tiwi, which is approximately a 2-hour drive from Muscat. From Muscat, take Route 15 (Sultan Qaboos Highway) south towards Sur. After about 70 km, take a right on Route 23 towards Tiwi. Continue on Route 23 until you reach the village of Tiwi. Once in Tiwi, follow the signs towards Wadi Shab. Park your car at the designated parking area near the entrance of Wadi Shab. There may be a parking fee, usually around 1 OMR.

Public Transportation
To reach Wadi Shab using public transport, first, take a bus or a shared taxi from Muscat to Sur. Buses run frequently from the main bus station in Muscat, and the fare is typically around 3 OMR. Once you arrive in Sur, you can catch a local taxi or a shared taxi to Tiwi, which should cost an additional 1 OMR. Once in Tiwi, you will need to walk or take a short taxi ride to the entrance of Wadi Shab, where you will find the parking area. Be aware that public transport options may have limited schedules, so plan your return accordingly.

Boat
After reaching the entrance of Wadi Shab, you will need to take a small boat across the water to begin your trek to Wadi Shab Cave. The boat ride is included in the entrance fee to Wadi Shab, which is typically around 5 OMR per person. The boat will take you across the wadi (river), and from there, you will start your hike. The trek to the cave takes approximately 40 minutes, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry enough water.
