Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading to Highway 26, which runs through the Cascade Mountains. From Portland, take Highway 26 east for about 50 miles. As you approach Mt. Hood, look for the signs for the Little Zigzag Falls. Turn onto E. Zigzag Mountain Road (Forest Road 2630). Follow this road for approximately 2 miles until you reach the trailhead parking area, which is located just off the road. Parking is free, but be sure to arrive early during peak seasons, as spaces can fill up quickly.

For those using public transportation, take the TriMet bus line 57 from Portland to the Sandy Transit Center. From there, you can catch the Mt. Hood Express bus, which can take you closer to the Mt. Hood area. You will need to get off at the Zigzag stop. Once you arrive in Zigzag, the Little Zigzag Falls trailhead is about a 1.5-mile walk from the bus stop.
