Follow the signs for the Historic Columbia River Highway and continue approximately 11 miles. Look for the Wahkeena Falls parking area on your left (the trailhead is well marked). Note that there is a parking fee; bringing cash is recommended as not all lots accept cards.
Public Transportation

From there, catch the Columbia Gorge Express bus, which operates daily and stops at several key points along the Columbia River Gorge, including Wahkeena Falls. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as the service may have limited hours, especially during off-peak seasons. The fare for the bus is typically around $10 one-way.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the Wahkeena Falls parking area, you will start your hike directly from the trailhead. The Wahkeena Falls Trail (#420) is a well-marked path that leads to the falls. The hike is about 0.2 miles and can be steep in sections. Ensure you wear proper hiking shoes and bring water to stay hydrated. The falls are beautiful and worth the effort!
