Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Cascade Locks, OR. Head east on WA-14 for about 3 miles. After crossing the Bridge of the Gods, continue straight onto WA-14 E. After approximately 7 miles, turn left onto Forest Road 30. Follow this road for about 2 miles until you reach the Sherrard Point trailhead parking area. There is no fee for parking, but it's always good to check for any updates on the US Forest Service website.

Public Transportation and Hiking
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Portland to Cascade Locks. Once you arrive in Cascade Locks, you can catch a local taxi or rideshare service to the trailhead, which is about 2 miles from the bus station. Alternatively, you could hike from the bus station to the trailhead, although this will take about 30-40 minutes. Ensure you wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water. Once you reach the trailhead, the hike to Sherrard Point is roughly 1.5 miles, with a moderate incline, so be prepared for some elevation gain.
