If you are starting from Hood River, OR, take the I-84 E highway. Continue on I-84 E for approximately 20 miles until you reach exit 44 for Cascade Locks. After exiting, turn left onto Cascade Locks Hwy/State Route 30. Follow this road for about 1 mile, keeping an eye out for signs leading to Upper Oneonta Falls. There should be a parking area available near the trailhead.
Public Transportation
To get to Upper Oneonta Falls via public transportation, you can take the Columbia Gorge Express bus from Portland. Board the bus at the Gateway Transit Center and stay on the bus until you reach the Cascade Locks stop. From there, you can walk approximately 1 mile along Cascade Locks Hwy/State Route 30 towards the Upper Oneonta Falls trailhead. Look for signs directing you to the falls.

If you are coming from Cascade Locks itself, take the Cascade Locks Hwy heading west. Drive approximately 1 mile, and you will find parking for Upper Oneonta Falls on your left. The trailhead is easily accessible from the parking area.

Traveling from Multnomah Falls, head east on the Historic Columbia River Highway for about 10 miles until you reach the I-84 E on-ramp. Merge onto I-84 E and continue for about 5 miles. Take exit 44 towards Cascade Locks, turn left onto Cascade Locks Hwy/State Route 30, and follow the signs to Upper Oneonta Falls parking area.
