Once you reach the junction with Highway 126, take the exit for Highway 126 towards Sisters. Continue on Highway 126 for approximately 25 miles until you see signs for Belknap Springs. Turn onto Belknap Springs Road and follow it for about 5 miles. You will find a parking area designated for Upper Proxy Falls. Note: There is usually no parking fee, but check local signage for any updates.

For those relying on public transportation, your best option is to take a bus service that operates between major towns in the Cascade Mountains. Start by getting to the nearest bus station in either Bend or Sisters. From there, look for the Cascades East Transit service, which offers routes toward the McKenzie River area. You may need to transfer buses depending on your starting location. Once you reach the closest stop to Belknap Springs, you will likely need to walk or arrange a taxi service to take you the remaining distance to Upper Proxy Falls. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary seasonally.

If you're already in the area and looking for an adventurous way to reach Upper Proxy Falls, consider hiking. There are several trails that lead to the falls, with the most popular being the Proxy Falls Trailhead located off Highway 126. From the trailhead, follow the well-marked trails leading to the falls. The hike is approximately 1.5 miles one way and is moderate in difficulty. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring water. There is no fee to access the trail.
