From downtown Hood River, head east on Oak Street towards the Columbia River. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 1st Street. Turn left onto 1st Street and follow it as it becomes East Marina Drive. Stay on this road until you reach the end of the marina. From the marina, look for the signs leading to the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. Follow the trail east. After about 1.5 miles, you'll reach the Bridge of the Gods. Cross the bridge, which leads you into Cascade Locks. Once in Cascade Locks, continue straight on WaNaPa Street. After about 0.5 miles, turn right onto Cascade Avenue. Follow Cascade Avenue until you reach the trailhead for Skoonichuk Falls. The falls are approximately a 1-mile hike from the trailhead.

Rent a bike from one of the local shops in Hood River. Start your journey by heading east on Oak Street, then take a left onto 1st Street, which will lead you to East Marina Drive. Follow East Marina Drive until you reach the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. This will take you on a scenic route along the river. After about 1.5 miles, you'll arrive at the Bridge of the Gods. Cross the bridge and continue straight into Cascade Locks.
