Car
If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to Cascade Locks, Oregon. From Interstate 84, take exit 44 toward Cascade Locks. Once you exit, follow the signs to Cascade Locks, and continue on Cascade Avenue. After about a mile, turn onto E Columbia River Hwy (Historic Route 30) and continue for about 4 miles. Look for the East Fork Falls Trailhead sign on your left, where there is a small parking area. Parking is free, but be aware that it may fill up quickly on weekends.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the Columbia Gorge Express bus service, which runs from Portland to various destinations in the Gorge. Get off at the Cascade Locks stop. From there, you will need to walk or use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach the East Fork Falls Trailhead, which is approximately 1.5 miles away. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as service may vary.
Hiking
Once you reach the East Fork Falls Trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 0.5 miles along the East Fork Trail to get to the falls. The trail is well-marked, but be prepared for a moderate hike with some elevation gain. Wear appropriate footwear and bring water, as the trail can be rocky and uneven in places.
