Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start at the Klamath Falls bus station located at 2000 E Main St, Klamath Falls, OR 97601. Board the Route 1 bus heading towards the Klamath County Fairgrounds. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at the Fairgrounds. Once you arrive, transfer to Route 2 that goes toward Rocky Point. This route will take you closer to Upper Klamath National Wildlife Refuge. Make sure to ask the driver for the closest stop to the refuge.

  • Bicycle

    From downtown Klamath Falls, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop. Head north on S 6th St until you reach E Main St. Turn right onto E Main St and continue until you reach the intersection with US-97 N. Use the bike lane to safely navigate onto US-97 N. Continue north for about 15 miles. Look for signs directing you to Upper Klamath National Wildlife Refuge. The entrance is located on Rocky Point Rd, approximately 1 mile off US-97 N.

  • Walking

    Though walking is not recommended due to the distance, if you choose to walk, begin at the Klamath Falls city center. Head north on S 6th St and continue onto E Main St. Walk until you reach US-97 N. Follow the road north for around 15 miles. Be cautious of traffic as there are no sidewalks for stretches of the road. After approximately 15 miles, you will see signs for Upper Klamath National Wildlife Refuge as you approach Rocky Point Rd. The refuge entrance will be on your right.
