Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Skardu city first. From Skardu, take the Skardu-Shigar road (also known as the Skardu to Shigar Valley road). The drive is approximately 30 kilometers and will take around 45 minutes depending on road conditions. Follow the signs towards Shigar Valley. Once you reach Shigar, look for the area marked CPCV+V7H on your GPS, which is the exact location of Khilingrong Mosque.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can find shared vans or buses from Skardu to Shigar. These depart regularly from the Skardu bus station. The fare is usually around PKR 150-200 per person. The journey will take about an hour. Upon arriving in Shigar, you can either walk to the mosque if it’s nearby (approximately 1 km) or hire a local rickshaw for a small fee (around PKR 50-100) to take you directly to Khilingrong Mosque, located at CPCV+V7H.

If you are already in Shigar and prefer to walk to Khilingrong Mosque, start from the main bazaar area. Head southeast towards the mosque, which is approximately 1 km away. The walk will take about 15-20 minutes. As you walk, enjoy the local scenery and interact with the friendly residents.
