Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Skardu city. Drive towards the Deosai National Park entrance which is about 30 kilometers from Skardu. The road is well-maintained. Once you enter the park, continue straight until you reach the Gamba region, which is approximately 50 kilometers further into the park. Look for signs pointing towards Gamba View Point Shigri Bala. Upon reaching Gamba, you can park your vehicle and start a short trek to the view point.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a local bus or a shared jeep from Skardu to Deosai National Park. Buses and shared jeeps frequently depart from the Skardu bus station. The journey to the park entrance takes around 1 hour. Once you reach the park entrance, you may need to hire a local jeep or a guide to take you to Gamba. This part of the journey is crucial as public transport does not reach all parts of the park. The jeep ride from the park entrance to Gamba typically costs around PKR 2000 to PKR 3000, depending on the negotiation.

After reaching Gamba, the Gamba View Point Shigri Bala is accessible by a short trek. Follow the marked trails or ask local guides for directions. The trek is relatively easy and should take about 30-45 minutes, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water and some snacks.
