Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Skardu city. Follow the Skardu to Deosai National Park road. The road leads you through picturesque landscapes and takes about 1.5 hours (approximately 35 km). As you drive, keep an eye out for road signs for Deosai National Park. Once you reach the entrance of Deosai National Park, pay the entry fee (around PKR 100 per person) at the check post. After entering, continue on Deosai Plain Road for approximately 30 km until you reach the Sadpara Check Post, marked by the coordinates 5J75+VJ9. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as parts of the road can be bumpy.

Public Transportation
For those opting for public transportation, take a bus or jeep from Skardu to Deosai National Park. These vehicles are available near the Skardu bus station and typically leave in the morning. The fare is around PKR 500-700 per person. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Sadpara Check Post. The journey may take 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions. Once you arrive at the Sadpara Check Post, ensure you have enough cash for any entry fees into the park.

If you are already within Deosai National Park and wish to hike to Sadpara Check Post, locate the Deosai Plain Road. Depending on your starting point within the park, it may take approximately 1-2 hours of hiking to reach the check post. Follow the trail signs and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the park while hiking. Make sure to carry water and snacks, as there are limited facilities in this remote area.
