Car
From any location within Deosai National Park, head towards the main road leading out of the park. You will need to follow the signs for Skardu or the Deosai National Park exit. Once you reach the main road, turn onto the Skardu-Mastuj Road (N-15). Continue driving for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the sign for Shandur National Park. The turnoff will be marked, and from there it’s a short drive to the entrance of the park. Be prepared for some unpaved sections as you approach the national park.

Public Transportation
If you are traveling by public transportation, you may need to take a shared jeep or bus from Skardu to Mastuj. First, you will travel from Deosai National Park to Skardu by finding a local jeep that operates in the area. Once in Skardu, you can board a bus or shared jeep heading towards Mastuj. The journey from Skardu to Mastuj takes about 5-6 hours. From Mastuj, you can hire a local jeep to take you to Shandur National Park, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. Make sure to negotiate the fare with the driver in advance, as prices can vary.

Hiking
For those adventurous souls, you can consider hiking from Deosai to Shandur National Park if you are well-prepared and experienced. Start your hike towards the south side of Deosai, following the paths that lead to the Shandur area. This hike can take several hours (8-10 hours depending on your pace) and requires proper gear and navigation skills. Ensure to inform someone about your hiking plans, and carry enough water and food.
