Walking
From the main bazaar in Mingora, head towards the Swat River. Cross the bridge over the river and follow the road that leads to Saidu Sharif. Continue straight until you reach the intersection, then take a left towards the Madyan road. Walk along this road, enjoying the scenic views of the valley. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach the Madyan village. From Madyan, follow the signs to Mahodand Lake. The trek to Mahodand Lake is approximately 12 kilometers and can take about 4-5 hours on foot. Ensure you carry sufficient water and snacks, and enjoy the beautiful landscape along the way.

Once in Madyan village, you can rent a horse or donkey for the journey to Mahodand Lake. The locals can assist you in finding a reliable animal.
