From the center of Gilgit, head towards the main Gilgit-Skardu Road. Walk towards the northeast direction for about 2 km until you reach the intersection near the Gilgit River. Once at the intersection, continue straight towards the Minapin village road. After another 10 km of walking, you will arrive at the Minapin village entrance.

Upon entering Minapin, ask locals for directions to the Rakaposhi Sunset View Point, which is well-known in the area. Follow the local paths leading up to the viewpoint. It's approximately a 3 km trek uphill. Take your time to enjoy the surrounding scenery and ensure you have enough water.
