From K2 Base Camp, begin your journey by retracing your steps back towards the nearest access point for the trek, which should be towards the main trail leading back to Skardu. The trek back will take approximately 4-5 days depending on your pace and the condition of the trails.

As you trek back, ensure you follow the established paths that lead to the Askole village, which is the last permanent settlement before heading to K2 Base Camp. Once you reach Askole, you can arrange for a jeep ride to Skardu, which typically takes around 3-4 hours.

After reaching Askole, hire a jeep or share one with other trekkers to Skardu. The cost may vary, but expect to pay around PKR 3000-5000 per person. Confirm the fare before departing.

Once you arrive in Skardu, you can take a local bus or taxi to Hassan Colony. These are readily available at the bus station or taxi stand. The fare for a local bus is around PKR 100-200, while a taxi may cost around PKR 500-1000.
