Car
If you're traveling by car along the Karakoram Highway, head towards Gilgit. From Gilgit, take the N-15 road towards Ghizer district. Follow the signs towards Gupis, which is approximately 2 hours from Gilgit. Continue on the N-15 for about 30 km until you reach the junction for Kakakhail. Turn left and follow the road for about 10 km until you arrive at Kakakhail. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as the roads may have some rough patches.

To reach Kakakhail via public transportation, board a bus or a van from the Gilgit bus terminal to Gupis. The fare is typically between 300 to 600 PKR. The journey will take around 2-3 hours. Once you reach Gupis, you can hire a local taxi or a shared vehicle to take you the remaining 10 km to Kakakhail. Negotiate the fare in advance; it should be around 500 to 1000 PKR depending on the vehicle and the number of passengers.
