Car
If you are driving from Leh, take the NH1 towards Srinagar. The journey is approximately 420 kilometers and will take around 10-12 hours. Ensure you check road conditions, especially during winter months. Upon reaching Srinagar, follow signs to 'Dal Lake.' Once you reach Dal Lake, look for signs directing you to Pari Mahal. The parking area is located near the entrance to Pari Mahal.
Public Transportation
From Leh, take a bus to Srinagar, which is operated by various private and government transport services. The journey takes about 12-14 hours. You can also book a shared taxi from Leh to Srinagar for a more comfortable option. Once in Srinagar, you can hire a local taxi or use a rideshare app to reach Pari Mahal. The distance from central Srinagar to Pari Mahal is about 7 kilometers. Taxis are available at reasonable rates, typically around 200-300 INR.
Local Transport
Once you arrive in Srinagar, you can use auto-rickshaws or local buses to reach Pari Mahal. Auto-rickshaws are a quick option and will take you directly to the entrance for approximately 100-150 INR. Local buses are available but may take longer and are less frequent. It is advisable to confirm the fare in advance with the driver.
