From Leh, take the Leh-Srinagar Highway (NH1) towards Kargil. After approximately 25 km, turn left onto the road leading to Drass. From Drass, head towards the Kargil-Zanskar Road (NH301) and continue for about 60 km until you reach the town of Kargil. From Kargil, take the road towards the Astore Valley, which leads you to the base of the approach to Bilafond La.
