If you are traveling by car, the most common route to Khunjerab National Park is via the Karakoram Highway (KKH). Start your journey from Gilgit, heading north on the KKH. The distance from Gilgit to Khunjerab Pass is approximately 200 kilometers and takes around 4 to 5 hours, depending on road conditions. You will pass through the picturesque towns of Hunza and Sost. It's advisable to refuel your vehicle in Gilgit or Hunza as there are limited fuel stations along the way. Once you reach Sost, continue on the KKH until you arrive at Khunjerab National Park, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views and wildlife.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a minibus from Gilgit to Karimabad, which is the capital of Hunza Valley. The journey takes about 2 hours. From Karimabad, you can catch another minibus or hire a taxi to Sost, which takes approximately 1 hour. Once in Sost, you can hire a local jeep or taxi to Khunjerab National Park, which is about 30 kilometers away. Make sure to check the schedules in advance as public transport may not run frequently. The total cost for public transport can vary, but expect to spend around 500 to 1,000 PKR for the entire trip.
