Getting There

Walking
Start your journey from Skardu city center. Head north on the main road towards the Skardu Airport. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left branch towards Chonda. Continue on this road for about 8 kilometers. Keep an eye out for local signposts indicating Chunda Valley. As you approach Chonda, you'll find a sign pointing towards Chunda Valley (View Point). Follow this path for another 2 kilometers, which will lead you through beautiful landscapes. The road can be a bit rugged, so be prepared for a scenic trek. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with breathtaking views of the valley.

Trekking
If you prefer a more adventurous route, consider trekking from Skardu to Chunda Valley. Start at Skardu and take the main road towards the airport, then follow the same route as above. Once you reach the fork, instead of taking the left branch, continue straight towards the mountains. This trek will take you through local villages and stunning landscapes. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks. The trek will take approximately 3-4 hours depending on your pace. You will eventually reach Chunda Valley (View Point) where you can enjoy the picturesque scenery.

Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Skardu. Start from the city center and follow the main road towards the airport. After 1.5 kilometers, take the left fork towards Chonda. The ride is approximately 10 kilometers to Chonda, which can take around 30-45 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Chonda, look for the signs directing you to Chunda Valley (View Point). The last stretch is about 2 kilometers uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. Upon arrival, you will be rewarded with stunning views.
