Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the town of David, head east on the Pan-American Highway (Highway 1) for about 30 kilometers. Turn left onto the road toward Boquete (Route 10). Follow this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Baru Volcano National Park, which is marked with signs. The park entrance is located at QGW6+M8X, Los Naranjos. Keep in mind that there is an entrance fee of around $5 per person.

    From David, take a bus to Boquete, which can be found at the David bus terminal. Buses leave frequently, and the fare is about $2. The ride takes around 45 minutes. Once in Boquete, you can either hire a taxi or find a local shuttle service to take you to the park entrance. The taxi ride will cost approximately $10-$15 and takes about 30 minutes. Ensure to confirm with the driver that you are headed to the park entrance at QGW6+M8X, Los Naranjos.
