Experience Sendero Los Quetzales

Getting There

  • Car

    From Boquete, take the main road (Pan-American Highway) towards David. Once you reach the town of David, continue on the Pan-American Highway towards the city of Santiago. After approximately 30 km, look for the signs directing you to Los Naranjos. Take the exit towards Los Naranjos and follow the road for about 10 km until you see the entrance to Sendero Los Quetzales on your left. There is no entrance fee, but make sure to have some cash for any local purchases.

  • Public Transportation

    From Boquete, take a bus heading to David. Buses run frequently and the fare is usually around $1.50. Once in David, transfer to a bus heading towards Santiago. You will need to inform the driver to drop you off at the junction for Los Naranjos (the fare is about $2). From the junction, you may need to wait for a local taxi or walk about 5 km to reach Sendero Los Quetzales. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.

  • Taxi
