Walking
If you're starting from the center of Portobelo, head southeast on Avenida Central towards the waterfront. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Calle 1. Turn left onto Calle 1 and continue until you see the large stone structure of Fuerte Santiago on your right. The Ruinas de Portobelo is located here, and you can enter the site.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Portobelo. Once you have your bike, head southeast on Avenida Central towards the waterfront. Continue on Avenida Central until you reach the intersection with Calle 1. Turn left onto Calle 1 and ride straight; the Ruinas de Portobelo will be on your right side as you approach Fuerte Santiago.

From central Portobelo, look for the nearest bus stop that services routes heading towards Fuerte Santiago. Get onto a bus or collectivo that is going in that direction. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Fuerte Santiago. Once you arrive, you will see the Ruinas de Portobelo right next to the fort.
