Walking
If you are in the center of Gettysburg, start from the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center located at 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Head southwest on Baltimore Pike for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Steinwehr Avenue. Turn right onto Steinwehr Avenue and continue for about 0.4 miles. You will see the entrance to the Gettysburg National Military Park on your left. Enter the park and follow the signs for Hancock Avenue. Continue on Hancock Avenue for about 0.6 miles, and you will arrive at the Monument to Major General George Gordon Meade, located on the left side of the road. Look for the large stone monument surrounded by a landscaped area.

If you prefer to bike, start at the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center. Rent a bike if you haven't done so. Head southwest on Baltimore Pike for about 0.3 miles, then turn right onto Steinwehr Avenue. Follow Steinwehr Avenue for about 0.4 miles until you reach the entrance of Gettysburg National Military Park. Once inside the park, follow the designated bike path towards Hancock Avenue. The bike path will lead you directly to the Monument to Major General George Gordon Meade, which is approximately 0.6 miles from the entrance on Hancock Avenue. Make sure to watch for pedestrians and other cyclists.
