Walking
If you are starting from the Gettysburg Visitor Center, head northeast on Baltimore Street (US-15). Continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Steinwehr Avenue and continue straight for another 0.3 miles. At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto the Gettysburg National Military Park. Follow the signs for Culp's Hill. The Observation Tower will be on your right after approximately 0.7 miles of walking.

Biking
From downtown Gettysburg, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Start at Lincoln Square and head east on East Middle Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Baltimore Street (US-15). Turn left and follow Baltimore Street for about 0.5 miles. You will see signs for the Gettysburg National Military Park. Continue past the Visitor Center and follow the signs to Culp's Hill. The Observation Tower is located about 1.5 miles from the Visitor Center.

Public Transportation
Although Gettysburg does not have extensive public transportation, you can use the local trolley service that operates during the tourist season. Board the Gettysburg Trolley from the Visitor Center. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Culp's Hill. The trolley will drop you off at the base of the hill, from where you can walk to the Observation Tower, which is approximately a 0.3-mile uphill walk.
