Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to Laurel Hill State Park, located at 1454 Laurel Hill Park Rd, Somerset, PA 15501. From central locations in Laurel Highlands, such as Seven Springs or Ohiopyle, take Route 31 East. Follow Route 31 for approximately 15 miles until you reach the intersection with Laurel Hill Park Rd. Turn left onto Laurel Hill Park Rd, and the park entrance will be on your right within about a mile. There is no entry fee for the park, but be mindful of parking regulations.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus to Somerset first. Use the local transit service or a regional bus line to reach Somerset. Once in Somerset, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Laurel Hill State Park, as public transportation does not directly service the park. The approximate cost for a taxi from Somerset to the park is around $15-$25, depending on the service and time of day.

• Biking

  For the adventurous, biking from nearby towns is an option. If you are near the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail, you can ride west toward the town of Somerset. • Walking

  If you are staying nearby and wish to walk, ensure you are within a reasonable distance from the park. Walking from Somerset to the park is about 5 miles. Start on Main St and follow it until you reach Laurel Hill Park Rd. Walk south on Laurel Hill Park Rd until you reach the park entrance. This route is primarily along roads without sidewalks, so exercise caution. It may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to walk, depending on your pace.
