Walking
If you are in University City, you can walk to The Franklin Institute. Start by heading east on Market Street toward 30th Street Station. After a short walk, you will reach 30th Street Station. From there, you can continue to walk or take the Market-Frankford Line subway. If you choose to walk, continue east on Market Street until you reach 20th Street, then turn left. Continue walking north on 20th Street for about 10 blocks. The Franklin Institute will be on your left at 222 N 20th St.

Public Transit
For a quicker option, you can take public transit. Head to the nearest SEPTA station, which is at 30th Street Station. Purchase a token or a SEPTA Key card for $2.50. Board the Market-Frankford Line (blue line) heading toward Frankford. Get off at the 15th Street Station. From there, exit the station and walk a few blocks north on 15th Street toward the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Turn right onto the Parkway and walk until you reach 20th Street, then turn left. The Franklin Institute will be on your right at 222 N 20th St.

If you prefer biking, you can use a bike-share service like Indego. Locate a nearby Indego station in University City and rent a bike. Head east toward the Schuylkill River Trail and follow the trail north. Exit the trail at the entrance to the Parkway, then head west until you reach 20th Street. Turn left on 20th Street and continue for a few blocks. The Franklin Institute will be on your right at 222 N 20th St. Note that bike rentals typically cost around $4 for a single trip.
