Car
If you are driving from Chachapoyas, take the PE-3N highway towards Luya. After about 2 hours, turn onto the road towards Cohechán, following the signs for Karajía. The drive will take you through beautiful landscapes and small villages. Upon reaching Cohechán, park your car at the designated parking area near the entrance of the archaeological site. Note that the roads can be narrow and winding, so drive carefully.
Public Transportation
From Chachapoyas, take a minibus to Luya. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Luya, transfer to another minibus heading to Cohechán, which takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Cohechán, there will be local guides available to take you to Sarcofagos de Karajia. The total cost for the minibuses should be around 15-20 soles per person. Be sure to confirm with the drivers about the return trips.
