Car
From Cusco, take the road towards Abancay. Drive approximately 4 hours to reach the town of Cachora. In Cachora, you can park your car at designated parking areas. From here, you can either start the hike or arrange for a local guide to assist you.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Cusco to Abancay (around 2-3 hours). From Abancay, catch a bus to Cachora, which takes about 1 hour. Once in Cachora, you will need to either hike to Marampata or arrange for a local guide to take you. Be aware that the buses may have different schedules, so checking times in advance is advisable.
Hiking
From Cachora, you'll begin the hike to Marampata. The trek is approximately 5-6 hours depending on your pace. Follow the marked trail towards Choquequirao, which will eventually lead you to Marampata. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks as there are limited resources along the way.
