If you are traveling by car, begin your journey in the city of Abancay, the capital of Apurímac. From Abancay, take the route towards Cusco via the PE-3S highway. Drive approximately 80 kilometers until you reach the town of Curahuasi. From Curahuasi, continue on the PE-3S for about 15 kilometers until you see the signs for Qochapata. The exact coordinates are approximately -13.5073797 latitude and -71.971345 longitude. Follow the local road signs to reach the site, which is a short drive off the main highway.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Abancay to Curahuasi. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours and costs approximately 10-15 soles. Once in Curahuasi, you can find local shared taxis or mototaxis that can take you to Qochapata. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver beforehand, which should be around 5 soles. The ride from Curahuasi to Qochapata will take around 20-30 minutes.
