    Car

    If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Cusco. From the city center, head southwest on Av. El Sol towards Av. de la Cultura. Continue onto Av. La Cultura, then merge onto the Pan-American Highway (PE-3S) heading towards Abancay. After approximately 4 hours of driving, take the exit towards Curahuasi/Choquequirao. Follow the signs for Choquequirao Trek and continue along the winding mountain roads. After about 2 hours, you will arrive at the trailhead for Choquequirao, from where you can hike to Huacra pukara.

    Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Cusco to San Pedro. Once in San Pedro, find a bus heading to Cachora, which is the starting point for the Choquequirao Trek.
