To reach K'allachaka from the Choquequirao Trek, start by driving to the closest major town, which is Cusco. From Cusco, take Route 3S towards Abancay. This scenic drive takes approximately 4-5 hours. Once you reach Abancay, continue on Route 3S towards Andahuaylas. Follow the signs for K'allachaka which is located near the area of 08000, Cusco. Look out for local signage as you approach the site. Please note that you may need to pay for parking upon arrival.
Public Transportation
From the main bus terminal in Cusco, take a bus heading to Abancay. The bus journey usually lasts around 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Abancay, you will need to transfer to a local colectivo (shared taxi) that can take you directly to K'allachaka. The colectivo ride will take about 1-2 hours. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at K'allachaka, and be prepared for a small fee for the colectivo, typically around 10-20 soles.
