Car
From the end of the Choquequirao Trek, travel back to the nearest town, usually Cachora. From there, take a private car or taxi to Cusco. The drive takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it typically costs around 150-200 PEN. Once you arrive in Cusco, head towards the Saqsaywaman archaeological site, which is located just 2 km from the main square, Plaza de Armas. You can either walk or take a short taxi ride.

Public Transportation
After completing the Choquequirao Trek, return to Cachora. From Cachora, you can catch a bus or shared van to Cusco. The journey will take approximately 5-6 hours and costs around 30-50 PEN. Once in Cusco, walk or take a taxi to Saqsaywaman, which is about a 10-minute drive from Plaza de Armas.

If you choose to walk from Plaza de Armas in Cusco to Saqsaywaman, it is approximately a 30-minute walk uphill. Head north from the main square, following Av. de la Cultura. You will pass through the San Blas neighborhood, which offers beautiful views and artisan shops along the way. Keep following the signs to Saqsaywaman.
