Walking
From the main square, Plaza de Armas, head southeast towards Avenida El Sol. Walk along Avenida El Sol until you reach the intersection with Avenida de la Cultura. Turn left onto Avenida de la Cultura and continue walking straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the roundabout near the entrance to Huacarpay. The lake is located a short walk from the roundabout.
Public Transport
From Plaza de Armas, walk to the nearest bus stop on Avenida El Sol. Take a local bus heading towards 'Huacarpay' or 'Cerro de Oro.' The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. After getting off at the Huacarpay stop, walk straight ahead for about 500 meters until you reach the lake.
Taxi
You can hail a taxi from anywhere in Cusco. Tell the driver you want to go to Huacarpay. The drive will take about 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare beforehand or ensure the meter is running.
