Getting There

Walking
From the main square (Plaza de Armas), head northwest towards Avenida El Sol. Walk along Avenida El Sol until you reach the intersection with Avenida Pardo. Continue straight onto Avenida Pardo until you reach the intersection with Avenida de la Cultura. Turn left onto Avenida de la Cultura and follow it until you see signs for Tambomachay. The walk takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Collectivo (Shared Taxi)
From the Plaza de Armas, walk to Avenida El Sol where you can find collectivo taxis heading towards the outskirts of the city. Look for a collectivo that has a destination sign indicating 'Tambomachay' or 'Qenqo'. The fare is usually around 3-5 soles. Get off at the junction for Tambomachay, which is about a 15-minute ride. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk uphill to the entrance of the site.
