Walking
If you are in the Centro Histórico of Cusco, head towards Av. El Sol. Walk along Av. El Sol until you reach the intersection with Av. Thupaq Amaru. Turn left onto Av. Thupaq Amaru. Continue walking straight for about 5-10 minutes, and you will see the Mercado Central de San Pedro on your left at Thupaq Amaru 477. The market is hard to miss, as it is a large building bustling with activity.
Public Transport (Collectivo)
For a more local experience, you can take a 'collectivo' (shared taxi) from any nearby point in San Pedro. Look for the collectivo stands on the main streets. Board a collectivo heading towards Mercado San Pedro. The fare is typically around 1.50 to 2.00 soles. Inform the driver of your destination. The ride will take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, simply pay the driver and exit at the market entrance.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can also take a taxi. You can hail a taxi from the street or ask your accommodation to call one for you. Make sure to specify 'Mercado Central de San Pedro' or provide the address Thupaq Amaru 477. The taxi fare should be around 5-10 soles depending on your starting location. The journey usually takes around 5 minutes.
