From Huaraz, head to the main bus terminal, which is located on Avenida Luzuriaga. Look for buses heading to Yungay. The journey typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Yungay, get off at the main square (Plaza de Armas). From there, you can ask locals for directions to the Cementerio de Yungay, which is approximately a 15-minute walk away. Head north from the square along Avenida 28 de Julio, then take a left onto Calle José María Arguedas and follow the signs toward the cemetery.

Shared Taxi (Colectivo)
At the main plaza in Huaraz, find a shared taxi (colectivo) that will take you to Yungay. Colectivos are typically cheaper than private taxis and leave when full. The ride to Yungay will take about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Yungay, you can walk to the cemetery. Head towards the main square (Plaza de Armas) and then follow Avenida 28 de Julio north, turning left onto Calle José María Arguedas. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the cemetery.
