Getting There

Car

If you are driving to Huandoy, start from the town of Huaraz, located about 30 km from the entrance to Huascaran National Park. Take the PE-3N highway towards the park. After approximately 25 km, you will reach the entrance of Huascaran National Park where you will need to pay an entrance fee (around 30 soles for foreign tourists). Once inside the park, follow the signs towards the Laguna de Parón area. Continue on the road until you reach the trailhead for Huandoy. Park your car in the designated area and prepare for a hike.
Public Transportation

To reach Huandoy via public transportation, start in Huaraz. Take a colectivo (shared taxi) or bus to Yungay, which is about 25 km away. The fare is usually around 10 soles. From Yungay, you can catch another colectivo to the Laguna de Parón area (approximately 15 soles). Once you arrive at the trailhead, follow the marked paths to Huandoy. Be prepared for a hike, as there are no direct vehicles to the mountain itself.
Hiking

After arriving at the trailhead by car or public transportation, begin your hike towards Huandoy. The trail is well-marked but can be steep and challenging. Ensure you have proper hiking gear, plenty of water, and snacks. The hike can take several hours, depending on your pace.
