Getting there

Bus

From the main bus terminal in Huaraz, head to the 'Cruz del Sur' or 'Movil Tours' counter. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading towards the Laguna de Llanganuco or Yungay, which will take you along the route towards Cumbre. The bus ride should take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you need to get off at Cumbre.

Walking

After getting off the bus at the Cumbre stop, you will find a dirt path leading towards the Cumbre area. Follow this path for about 15-20 minutes. As you walk, keep an eye out for signs or locals who can guide you if needed. The scenic views along the way will enhance your experience, so take your time.

Local Transport

Alternatively, you can take a shared taxi (known as a 'colectivo') from the main plaza in Huaraz to Cumbre. The colectivos usually leave when they are full, so be prepared to wait a bit. Once you reach Cumbre, you will be dropped off near the main area. From there, it’s a short walk to your destination.
