Car
If you're traveling by car from the nearest city, Cusco, head northwest on Av. de la Cultura towards Av. Pardo. Follow the signs for the Incas and the Sacred Valley. After approximately 1.5 hours, take the exit towards Ollantaytambo. Once in Ollantaytambo, continue towards the town of Aguas Calientes, which is the gateway to Machu Picchu. From Aguas Calientes, you can take a train to the nearest station to Muyoq, then follow local signage or ask for directions to reach Muyoq.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, start at Cusco's main bus terminal and take a bus to Ollantaytambo. This will cost around 10-15 soles and take about 2 hours. Once in Ollantaytambo, catch a train from the rail station to Aguas Calientes. Train tickets vary in price, starting from approximately 60 soles one way. After reaching Aguas Calientes, you will need to take a local taxi or walk to reach Muyoq, which is about a 30-minute ride.

If you're in Aguas Calientes, you can hire a taxi directly to Muyoq. This is the most convenient option as it saves time. The fare should be around 40-60 soles, and the journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare before the ride.
