Motorbike Taxi (Mototaxi)
To reach Complejo turístico de Quistococha, you can take a mototaxi from the main square in Iquitos, known as Plaza de Armas. Simply walk to the plaza and look for the rows of mototaxis waiting for passengers. Inform the driver that you want to go to Quistococha, and they will understand. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before getting in, which is usually around 10-15 soles.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can start from Plaza de Armas. Head east on Calle Prospero until you reach the intersection with Calle Putumayo. Turn left onto Calle Putumayo and continue straight until you reach the Rio Itaya. Cross the bridge, and then follow the road straight to the entrance of Quistococha. The walk is about 40-50 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
Bicycle Rental
For a more active journey, consider renting a bicycle. There are several rental shops near the Plaza de Armas. Once you have your bike, head east on Calle Prospero, then take a left onto Calle Putumayo. Continue following the road until you reach the entrance of Complejo turístico de Quistococha. The ride should take around 30 minutes, and it’s a pleasant route with some scenic views.
