If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Lares. Head southeast on the main road (Route 3S) towards Urubamba. After approximately 30 km, turn onto the road towards Chinchero. Follow the signs for Chinchero and continue for about 20 km. The Centro Arqueológico de Chinchero is located at 'Museo de Sitio de Chinchero, Ruta Santisimo Downhill 2, Chinchero 08651'. There is parking available at the site.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a colectivo (shared taxi) from Lares to Urubamba. This ride will take about 30-40 minutes and costs approximately 10-15 PEN. Once in Urubamba, transfer to another colectivo heading to Chinchero. The second leg of the journey will take roughly 30 minutes and cost another 10-15 PEN. Ask the driver to drop you off at Museo de Sitio de Chinchero, which is your destination.

If you prefer to walk from the center of Chinchero village, it's a scenic 20-minute walk to the Centro Arqueológico de Chinchero. Start at the main plaza, head down the pathway towards the archaeological site, and enjoy the beautiful views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be uneven.
